Nature of problem:
The program determines cross sections and asymmetries in the vicinity of the Z resonance taking into account radiative corrections up to O(alpha**2). This model independent determination is based on the S-matrix approach.

Solution method:
SMATASY is designed as a new interface of the ZFITTER package [1]. Therefore it relies on the same treatment of radiative corrections as ZFITTER.
