Nature of problem:
This Graphical User Interface is concerned with the construction and editing of input namelist data required by the Flexible Asymptotic R-matrix Program (FARM)[1]. FARM solves the sets of coupled second- order inhomogeneous ordinary differential equations which arise in the outer region of the configuration space in R-matrix computations. The GUI software system forms part of the specification stage of the Graphical R-matrix Atomic Collision Environment (GRACE)[2].

Solution method:
The construction and editing of the required data is facilitated by an X-window base GUI which emphasises the physics of the problem rather than the low-level structure of the underlying namelists.
