Nature of problem:
Lie symmetries of differential equations play an important role in all branches of physics. Usually they have a physical meaning. To know all Lie symmetries for a given problem is therefore of utmost importance because it usually leads to additional physical insight.

In most cases the available computer memory is the severest restriction. It may only be avoided if the problem is split into several smaller ones.
