Nature of problem:
Calculation of the phase velocity, polarization vector, group velocity, and phonon-focusing enhancement factor for non-dispersive acoustic plane-waves of any wave-vector.

Solution method:
The group velocity and the phonon-focusing enhancement are calculated from the derivatives of the characteristic equation of the Christoffel equations.

The material must be described by a symmetric real 6-vector elastic constant matrix.
