Manuscript Title: A program for normalised Morse functions.
Authors: J.R. Parkinson, D.T. Birtwistle
Program title: MORSEFNS
Catalogue identifier: AAGM_v1_0
Distribution format: gz
Journal reference: Comput. Phys. Commun. 4(1972)257
Programming language: Fortran.
Computer: ICL 1905E.
Operating system: GEORGE 2.
RAM: 2K words
Word size: 48
Keywords: Molecular physics, Morse functions, Eigenfunctions, Schrodinger equation, Bound states, Vibration.
Classification: 16.3.

Nature of problem:
To produce the normalised eigenfunctions of the Schrodinger equation with the Morse potential.

Solution method:
The subroutine calculates the solution by Morse, correctly normalised, by evaluating the polynomial solution at a set of given points.

It is assumed that the parameters given to the subroutine are constants typical of problems involving real molecules.

Running time:
On the ICL 1905E the test program takes 13s mill time. In general the execution time depends on the number of points at which the results are required.
